Desktop Support Administrator Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Desktop Administrator will assist in supporting corporate IT requirements by servicing the desktops, laptops, software, and connectivity needs of over 120 local and remote employees. You must be detailed oriented and display strong organizational and time management skills to work in a fast-paced environment. Time will be spent supporting, troubleshooting, and administering company desktop/laptop systems, and associated hardware. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, flexible, and committed to providing excellent service.
Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of issues with desktop and laptop hardware/software, email, basic networking, wireless connectivity, IP phones, A/V equipment, and printers/copiers/scanners. Prioritize, answer, respond to, and document incoming helpdesk requests from users within ICS in a timely manner.
Build and configure new desktop/laptop systems. Assist employees with configuration setups of various software packages, email accounts, and voicemail. Assist in the development of processes, procedures, and training for all new staff.
Assist in the procurement of desktop/laptop hardware and software. Oversee and manage the installation of all desktop/laptop hardware and software systems upgrades. Maintain inventory of all equipment and software.
You must have the flexibility to provide rapid responsiveness in resolving issues in order to assist the business moving forward.
You should be able to bring new ideas and advanced solutions to management that are well-researched and appropriate for our growing business needs and technical issues.
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with a strong knowledge of desktop/laptop peripherals and devices.
Strong knowledge of MS Windows. Windows 11 is a plus.
Strong knowledge of desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and smartphones (iOS & Android).
Basic knowledge of Linux and/or MacOS
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of building desktop/laptop dual-boot systems is a plus.
Knowledge of remote administration (“remote control”) of desktops/laptops is a plus.
Basic knowledge of networks (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and network devices a plus.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and systems security a plus.
Industry certifications are desired.
