Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager we are seeking is someone with experience in medical device software development projects. The individual will be responsible for project planning and execution of multiple projects. This person will be the primary contact with the customer throughout the duration of the project.
  
Here’s what you can expect to do:
  • Work closely with the customer and project team to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Establish and maintain project communication channels.
  • Track project execution relative to project schedule and escalate project issues or concerns.
  • Maintain and track open project issues to closure.
  • Document and update project status, project health, and a review of submitted project resource timesheets.
  • Maintain and track project budget, resource hours forecasting, and revenue forecasting.
  • Identify projects risks and opportunities and communicate with the team and appropriate management.
  • Develop the project resource schedule in accordance with the customer or other constraints; establish project milestones and determine the project timeline. This includes coordination with the customer and referencing the Statement of Work.
  • Initiate, coordinate, document, and track Change Orders.
  • Organize sprint review meetings and daily stand-ups with the project team.
  • Coordinate design and code reviews.
  • Coordinate and organize meetings to discuss architecture strategy for the project.
  • Assist with coordinating unit and functional test cycles.
  • Manage and complete all project closure documentation.
  • Assist with the pre-sales project for project estimating as needed.
  • Assist with the development of project delivery standardization and process improvement.
  • Establish credibility at all levels in the customer organization to ensure project continuity and to enhance future business opportunities.

Are you up to the challenge? Here is what you need to be considered for this important role
  • PMP preferred (current and will maintain certification
  • 8-10 years as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager in a software-related field.
  • 3-5 years with Medical Device implementations software or product or regulated industries.
  • 3 years of Software Development experience using an SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Working knowledge of tools like Jira, GitHub, and Trello.
  • Strong Communication Skills: This job will require strong situational awareness and with excellent listening skills and the ability to concisely convey technical and logistical information in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Ability to execute project management responsibilities such as weekly status meetings, risk mitigation, working with a Statement of Work, project planning/procurement/budget, cost, tracking/scheduling, weekly status reports, financial updates, and approval of hours
  • Flexibility to handle the demands of a rapidly growing and changing workplace.
  • Naturally inquisitive – the successful project manager will ask “Why?” often to get to the root of the situation.
  • Working knowledge of the Agile process.
